Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines
below):

* Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
* Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get- One-Free) coupons
* Store coupons
* Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
* Internet coupons
* Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:

* Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when
presented at the time of purchase.
* Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the
valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
* Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer Coupon.”
There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a
scannable bar code.
* Only one coupon per item is permitted.
* Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by
Customer Service Manager.

***YMMV on internet coupons. Some stores won’t take them at all, some
only take 1 per transaction and others take as many as you have. If
you run into any trouble you can try showing them a copy of their
coupon policy, but there is still no guarantee they will take
internet coupons. Click on “Wal-Mart Coupon Policy” above to see it
on the actual Wal-Mart website.

Guide to Wal-Mart
Use the SCO (Self-Checkout) to avoid coupon scrutiny
You cannot get an overage at the SCO’s
Go to a regular cashier if you plan on having overage
Go to a regular cashier if you have a bottle cap
You can only use $20 worth of coupons at SCO
You can use up to $40 worth of coupons at a regular check out
(Without Manager Approval) – (You can use as many as you want with
approval)
If your coupon doesn’t register as being inserted in the coupon slot
at the SCO then blow in the slot
Some SCO’s are coded to only accept 1 of each coupon and will need
cashier approval.
Some SCo’s are coded to need cashier approval for coupons with a $3
or higher value.
Wal-Mart Price Guarantee

If an item rings up for more than the price on the shelf WalMart
policy is to give you $3.00 off the price the item scans for. If the
item is less than $3.00 you get it for FREE. One item per $3.00
discount. YMMV as some stores will just give you the price difference
instead of $3.00 off
NO MORE PRICE GUARANTEE AS OF JUNE 2008
