Coupon Overage

Posted by Brandi on July 19th, 2008

At some stores like Kroger they usually just give me the overage on the coupon. For example, if the product is on sale for $1.00, and the coupon is .35, and triples to $1.05, I get .05 in overage (credit). Now if it’s a free item, and the coupon states, “up to $1.29″ on it, and the product actually costs $1.19, then they usually go back and look at what the item rang up and deduct $1.19 for the coupon amount.
