Many people who are trying to start an eBay business spend a great deal of time trying to figure out which items sell the best on eBay. Many of these people have elaborate systems for determining this information, and many others purchase expensive courses that teach them how to find this information as well. None of that is necessary. Everything you need to know is right in front of you – on the eBay website!
Take a look at any category, and you will see the word “hot” beside some items. These items are not marked as hot sellers randomly – there is a method to the madness! Items only get marked as hot when there have been more than thirty bids placed on the item. All you have to do is wonder around the eBay website for a while to find an item that will do well.
However, most power sellers will agree that there is more to figuring out which items sell best than this. In fact, they claim that it is a science. A great way to start your search for items that will result in a successful auction in the future is to do research on the auctions that were successful in the past. A new way to determine what items sell best on eBay is “eBay Marketplace Research.” Marketplace Research will allow you to view important statistical information on the buying trends at eBay. This product contains all of the data one could possibly ever need to determine how well – or how poorly – an item will do in an eBay auction. There is a small fee for using the eBay Marketplace Research tools, however.
Another tool that will be very useful in your quest for finding hot selling items for your eBay auctions is the listing of popular eBay search terms that is found on the site. This list can be found at: http://whats-hot-weekly.com . This list is divided into categories, which will make it easier to determine how popular your potential item may be.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that an item will do poorly, or that it will do well without doing your homework on the item first. Some of the strangest things sell for the highest prices, while items that would sell quickly in any other environment just sit there. Almost any eBay Power Seller will tell you that the key to a successful auction rests in the amount of research you put into the items you hope to sell.

Online auction site, eBid.net announced its official launch in the U.S., increasing its global presence to 18 territories across the US and Canada, UK, Africa, Asia and Australasia. To support the launch, eBid is investing in a PR and radio media campaign.
eBid provides a two-tier selling platform with the choice of zero subscription costs and minimal fee on sale, or subscription with zero final sale fee. How to Make Money on Ebay and become a Powerseller

We have another blog called Powerseller Help here it is all about drop shipping.
To become a powerseller on Ebay here are the requirements * Three Month Requirement: a minimum of $1,000 in sales or 100 items per month, for three consecutive months.
* Annual Requirement: a minimum of $12,000 or 1,200 items for the prior twelve months.
If you are ready to start selling on Ebay you probably know or have already tried finding products to sell.
You can always go to yard sales and look for things that you can resell. This is an obvious way but can produce great results.
Flea markets are another way to find your products and they are all in one place which makes it easy. You may have noticed there are flea market vendors selling brand new products at a very low price. How can they do this? Its great that you have the option of buying these things so cheap but wouldn’t you like to get the products they have and be able to sell them yourself?
Chances are, there is a liquidation store in your area. They are popping up all over the place. These liquidation stores or Salvage stores carry products that are in good condition from places like Kmart, Walmart, Target, Sears, etc.
The retail stores can sell the products that have been sitting on the shelf too long to wholesalers. The wholesalers turn around and buy hundreds of pallets of items all for one price.
So how can you get a hold of these pallets of liquidation items?
You can buy one pallet to a truckload of pallets! Usually when you are picking out pallets they only let you see what is on the top of the box. They are huge boxes though and there are soo many goodies in them!
First try searching on Google for “liquidation pallets” or “Salvage Pallets”. You will see thousands of results. Next time this in with the name of your town. Beware though, a lot of the wholesale places online are not legitimate. Most liquidation stores are listed in some kind of directory. You can even use a liquidation directory. Wholesale Directories like this are excellent because finding the product is sometimes the biggest hurdle.
Auction websites where they actually auction off pallets that are for sell by the liquidation store owner. You only pay if you are the higheset bidder and the cost of shipping (which is not bad at all because they have freight prices!!) They usually use UPS and the last pallet I got was only $45 to ship

Another idea is just to buy items on sale in stores! These items are often marked down very low.
Check out your local TJ Maxx, Ross, etc. These
stores buy overstock. I have found great deals
on things like expensive coffee pots on the back
aisles of Target. Target Stores can be great source
for electronics markdowns, everyday items, office
supplies, etc. This is Target’s markdown schedule.
Every store doesn’t follow it exactly. Some are a
day off. For the most part, you can count on this
