“I’ve owned a Magic jack for almost a month now, after being with Vonage for over a year. I must say that paying 31.00 a month incl. of taxes and fees, plus additional international calling fees, I have had to call their technical support far too many times for help with their system.With Magicjack on the other hand, I haven’t experienced any problems whatsoever and like I told the vonage rep. when I was calling them on my Magic Jack to cancel my account with them, ‘If I have to experience all the technical difficulties with magicJack like I have with your company and then some….at that price of 19.99 per year…I wouldn’t complain!I’m a happy camper with the MagicJack. My high speed internet is 3mbps & I use a cordless 5.8 Ghz phone. I’ve also tested my VOIP speed at http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/ and all is well.Yes, Magicjack may not have technical assistance where you can call in but their live chat works great and is quite reliable.For all those consumers that are experiencing problems, don’t dismiss it..the product can’t be beat! try to figure out what’s going on with your system and try it one more time! The MagicJack is $40 for the first time.  This includes your MagicJack device for $20 and a year’s worth of phone service for $20.

It is compatible with Windows and MAC OS-X.  You simply plug it in and it works like a thumb drive.  If it does not start automatically, you can double click on it to get it started.  The MagicJack box has full instructions.  There are no codes to enter you just register the device by putting in your address and pick a phone number with the zip code closest to you.

All past calls, phone numbers, etc. are stored in the Magic Jack device and you can take it any where you have a computer and internet.  If your computer has blue tooth built in you can leave your computer and use your headset.  You can also plug a regular phone into the Magic Jack or use your computer’s built in speakers and microphone.

The sound quality by the MagicJack is great.  If you compare the service to other Internet phone companies like Vonage, the quality is much better.  You will also be free from monthly fees, having to deal with poor customer service, and there is no disconnection fee if you decide you no longer want service.  There are no expensive special phones to buy and you are not required to have your checking account debited for billing like most other internet phone companies.

Only $20 a year for Free long distance in the US and Canada.  I would just like to know why everyone doesnt have Magic Jack yet!
